Title:  The theta correspondence and the Siegel-Weil formula

Abstract:  In this talk we will give a short introduction to the theta correspondence which is an powerful tool in the theory of automorphic forms. Later we will focus on the Siegel-Weil formula and regularized version. A sketch of the proof for convergent case will be given. Some applications related to the Siegel-Weil formula will be given.
